FleaClear has been launched in response to an increasing consumer demand for more affordable dog and cat flea solutions.Bob Martin FleaClear uses a molecule called Fipronil as its active ingredient; this was discovered in 1987 and has since been widely used to control pests and parasites. It has been shown to kill fleas and ticks quickly, to remain effective between treatments and even to be waterproof. As a result, it is used in a number of Spot On products including Frontline.Until recently, Fipronil-based products have only been available to pet owners from the vet. But after a detailed review by the Veterinary Medicines Directorate*, Bob Martin has received approval to sell it over-the counter. This means that FleaClear is available from where you normally shop for your pet products, and because it is from Bob Martin, you know it will also be great value for money.

How should I use FleaClear Spot On?
Use one tube per dog, applied to the skin as directed.
Check that your dog is at least 2 months old AND that their weight falls within the weight range detailed on the front of the pack purchased.
1. FleaClear must be applied at 2 points - at the base of the back of the dog’s head and between the shoulder blades. If the dog is wearing a collar remove it first so that it does not restrict application.
2. Hold tube upright and snap off the top section of the cap opening the tube.
3. Part your dog’s coat until the skin is visible. Place the tip of the tube directly against the skin and squeeze gently. Apply approximately half of the tube at the back of the dog’s neck and half between the dog’s shoulders. Squeeze the tube several times to ensure dosing is complete. Avoid applying onto the fur and do not rub into the skin as this will reduce the product’s performance. Do not allow pets to lick each other after treatment.
Do not use on puppies less than 2 months of age. Weigh the puppy first and ensure that correct product is used for the weight of the puppy.
Avoid excessive wetting of the hair; occasionally some stickiness of crystals may be seen but these will usually disappear within 48 hours.
Avoid frequent shampooing or swimming.
The product tastes extremely bitter and could make a dog salivate (drool) if the treated dog or another pet were to lick the skin soon after application. The drooling will usually disappear after a short while. In very rare occasions skin reactions such as hair loss, redness, itching and skin lesions may occur either where the product was applied or more widely across the animal. Excessive salivation and nervous signs such as depression, hypersensitivity, vomiting or heavy breathing have been reported exceptionally.
